Fresh from sell out shows in Australia, Irish comedian Des Bishop has firmly established himself as a major force on the international comedy circuit. American born and Irish reared, Des with his New Yorker drawl and hint of Irish lilt, is one of Ireland’s most outspoken and exciting comedians.

His latest stand up show ‘Tongues’ offers a unique perspective on immigrants, poverty and speaking in tongues as well as insight into Des’s own battles with testicular cancer and the move to Ireland as an impressionable teenager. Des rocketed to stardom in his adopted Ireland following the incredible success of his one-man TV show “The Des Bishop Work Experience”.

Since then, Des has gone onto create two other RTE TV productions ‘Joy in the Hood’ and most recently ‘In the Name of the Fada’. ‘Tongues’ draws from these formidable experiences and has been attracting rave reviews across the globe.
